Students celebrate fabulous GCSE results
Laurus Cheadle Hulme (LCH) students are celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results with over 78% of students achieving at least a grade 4 standard pass and 59% a strong pass in English and Maths. Additionally, 32% of all students’ grades were at 9-7, the top grades possible.
The school is exceptionally proud of this cohort, who have had to overcome so much disruption, during their early years at LCH, but who have risen to the challenge and achieved amazing outcomes. These results are a reward for the diligent and comprehensive way students have approached their studies and for the dedication of staff in preparing them for their exams.
LCH are also delighted to share that Year 9 students are celebrating their phenomenal success in GCSE Spanish. 81% of Year 9s achieved the gold standard of a grade 5 or better, 88% of students achieved at least a grade 4 or above, and 50% of students achieved at least a grade 7 or above. These results far outstrip national Year 11 figures. Teachers across the school are extremely proud of this achievement and look forward to seeing what the class of 2026 goes on to achieve in Year 11!
