Students at Laurus Cheadle Hulme (LCH) have been doing everything they can to spread Christmas cheer to their local community and beyond.
On Friday 5th December, dozens of Year 7 and Year 11 students supported Cheadle Hulme Primary School by running stalls at their amazing Christmas Fair. Despite the torrential weather outside, the event was brilliantly attended and enjoyed by all.

The next day, our Year 10 House Leadership Team and several Prefects helped out at Cheadle’s Victorian Christmas Markets.
The students ran stalls such as ‘Electric Buzz’ and ‘Reindeer Pit Stop’. These students were also joined by our choir and Mr Bradford, who performed an amazing set of Christmas Carols. Thousands of local residents attended the occasion and it created a real festive spirit!

At the same time, LCH’s Mission Christmas Appeal has been incredibly well supported.
Students, parents, carers and staff have shown great kindness and generosity by donating toys and gifts to the charity. Thank you for your fantastic contributions – they will make a real difference to children in need across our community.

Finally, our Year 10 House Leadership Team visited residents at Abney Court Care Home last Wednesday.
They joined in with games, celebrations, cake decorating and plenty of wonderful conversation. Residents and students alike were delighted with the occasion and we look forward to visiting again!

It has been wonderful to see our students giving their time and energy to bring joy to the community this Christmas.
Well done and thank you to everyone who has helped spread festive cheer!
