A fabulous piece of art has been created by students at Laurus Cheadle Hulme, providing the perfect finishing touch to the school’s state-of-the-art library.

Eight hugely talented year 8s & 9s worked together to produce the eye-catching design, which depicts different literary genres in the style of a comic-strip.

The students were each responsible for designing a different panel celebrating Action & Adventure, the Classics, Fantasy, Horror, Historical Fiction, Humour, Mystery & Thriller and Science Fiction, with outstanding results.

Each piece of individual art was then expertly put into the final comic-strip mural by Mrs Shorrock, Head of Creative Design and Mrs Burdsall, Subject Leader for Art and is now in pride of place along the library wall for everyone to enjoy.

Not only is the finished work a wonderful celebration of art and literature but it also showcases the incredible talent of students here at Laurus Cheadle Hulme and will remain a striking feature of the school library for many years to come.
