We’re excited to welcome prospective students, parents and carers to our school for our Open Evening.
To help you plan your visit, we’ve put together some answers to your most frequently asked questions about our Open Evening and what to expect.
When is the Open Evening?
Our Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 22nd October 2025. The evening will run from 5pm to 7.30pm, you can drop in at a time that suits you.
Who is it for?
Our Open Evening is for prospective students and parents/carers who are interested in applying for a Year 7 place at our school to start in September 2026.
What can I expect?
You will have the opportunity to tour our school, meet current students and staff, ask any questions you may have and attend a talk from our Head of School.
When is the Head of School talk?
The Head of School will be giving a talk to introduce you to life at Laurus Cheadle Hulme. The talk will be held three times throughout the evening, starting at 5.30pm, 6.15pm and 6.45pm.
It will be the same each time, so you only need to attend once.
Do I need to register for the Open Evening?
There’s no need to register, you can drop in at a time that best suits you!
How do I get to the school?
Laurus Cheadle Hulme is in Stockport. Our address is Laurus Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle Road, Cheadle Hulme, SK8 5GB.
We strongly advise that guests make use of public transport links or opt to travel by foot to get here as we have no parking available on-site (limited accessible parking is available for those who need it).
If you do travel by car, we ask that you be respectful of our neighbours in the surrounding area and avoid parking on driveways or blocking access roads.
When is the admissions deadline for the academic year 2026/27?
The deadline for applications is Friday 31st October 2025.
The Laurus Trust is the Admissions Authority for Laurus Cheadle Hulme. The co-ordination and administration of student admissions for entry is undertaken by the Local Authority, Stockport MBC.
