To help you plan your visit, we’ve put together some answers to your most frequently asked questions about our Open Evening and what to expect.
When is the Open Evening?
Our Open Evening will take place on Wednesday 21st October 2026. The evening will run from 5pm to 7pm and you can drop in at a time that suits you.
Who is it for?
Our Open Evening is for prospective students and parents/carers who are interested in applying for a Year 7 place at our school to start in September 2027.
What can I expect?
You will have the opportunity to tour our school, explore our curriculum, meet current students and staff, and ask any questions you may have.
Mr Peet, our Head of School, will also be delivering talks throughout the evening, providing an introduction to life at Laurus Cheadle Hulme (timings TBC).
Do I need to register for the Open Evening?
There’s no need to register; simply drop in at a time that suits you!
How do I get to the school?
Laurus Cheadle Hulme is in Stockport. Our address is Laurus Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle Road, Cheadle Hulme, SK8 5GB.
We strongly advise that guests make use of public transport links or travel on foot, as there is no parking available on-site (limited accessible parking is available for those who need it).
If you do travel by car, we ask that you be respectful of our neighbours in the surrounding area and avoid parking on driveways or blocking access roads.
When is the admissions deadline for the academic year 2027/28?
The deadline for applications is Saturday 31st October 2026.
The Laurus Trust is the Admissions Authority for Laurus Cheadle Hulme. The co-ordination and administration of student admissions for entry is undertaken by the Local Authority, Stockport MBC.
