We are delighted to announce the final results of the Laurus Cheadle Hulme Musician of the Year competition.
Seven finalists competed to lift the trophy. This final stage of the competition was adjudicated by Max Brodie, a composer, sound designer and songwriter. Mr Brodie has created music for TV and cinema projects worldwide including productions for Google, the BBC, CiTV and adverts for Amex, McDonalds and Vodaphone. He works from his studio – Nice Sound – based in Manchester city centre.
Mr Brodie was very impressed with all the finalists, but after serious deliberation settled on the following three students:
Musician of the Year (2020 Winner ) – Keira L (Y8), Voice
2nd Place (Highly Commended) – Keira T (Y8), Piano
3rd Place (Commended) – James H (Y8), Guitar
Both Mr Brodie and Mr Cosadinos would like to pass on their congratulations to these three exceptional students and once again thank all the students who took part in this year’s competition.
Certificates will follow, as well as information about the Awards Ceremony.
