On Friday 4th July, all students in Years 7, 8 and Year 9 at Laurus Cheadle Hulme (LCH) took part in a sponsored walk to raise funds and awareness for our four House Charities:

  • The Christie Charitable Fund (Altius) – contributing to enhanced services in cancer care
  • The Wellspring (Citius) – supporting people in Stockport who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
  • YoungMinds (Fortius) – promoting and improving the mental health of young people
  • The RSPCA (Magnus) – preventing cruelty and promoting kindness to animals

This fantastic community event saw students walking alongside friends and staff around the LCH site on a beautiful summer’s day.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all students, parents and carers for their incredible support in raising a brilliant £2,286.50! Your generosity will make a meaningful difference to our House Charities.

Through the House System, students take part in a wide range of activities, from lesson-based competitions to fundraising events like this one. To learn more, visit our House System page.

The sponsored walk was a perfect way to round off the school year. We wish everyone a safe and happy summer!
