We’re delighted that six of our students have been selected to represent England at the Dance World Cup 2021.

The prestigious tournament will be held in Spain in July and will see 62 countries compete against each other to be crowned the best in the world.

Laurus Cheadle Hulme students Chloe, Freya, Madeline, Martha, Ruby and Sydney are all members of the local Sophie Dee School of Dance and have seen off competition from dancers across England to secure their places on the team.

Between them they will be representing England in Tap, Ballet, Modern Show Dance, Commercial Jazz and Lyrical Dance in various team and individual categories.

The girls’ achievement is even more impressive as they have had to maintain their focus and motivation while training remotely in recent weeks and we are incredibly proud of them all.

They will now begin working on their routines for July’s competition and we wish them every success as they prepare to take part in the world’s biggest dance tournament.
